ProcOff monitors up to three processes and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no process activity for the specified time. It also supports fixed activation and shutdown initiation times plus a fixed delay before shutdown initiation. There is a configurable shutdown delay to give the option to cancel shutdown plus the ability to stop users with insufficient privileges closing the program. ProcOff supports all the normal shutdown modes. It can also be used to control a remote computer via a slave program. ProcOff is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation. Uses of ProcOff include unattended backup, virus scan and disk defragmentation, shutting down the computer when the tasks have completed. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, a command line, on start up or manually. ProcOff is a great utility for saving energy by making sure a computer shuts down when not needed. The program requires a registration code to run - this can be obtained free for personal non commercial use from the download page on the JSutils. Commercial licences can be obtained via the licencing page*. Registration codes from previous versions are compatible with version 1.5. The ProcOff Slave does not need a registration code.
