Now minimises to system tray (the default run mode) and supports
domain name addressing for communications with the slave programs.
Adds support for Standby. Restore button disabled for non admin
users. Exit button disabled in shutdown mode. Configuration file
now correctly backed up when reinstalling version 3.1 and later.
Run minimised now correctly resumes on cancel shut down. Communications
to Slave improved. Desktop shortcuts no longer installed by default.
Now correctly cleans up backup configuration files on upgrade.
Minor improvements to error handling. Fixed bug where program
didn't resume after hibernate.
Version 3.1 - Released 19-December-2007
Added Hibernate support. Now correctly removes the Start Up Group when upgrading
or changing the installation. No longer supports a Quick Launch icon and
installs for all users. Log file date format made consistent throughout the
log file. Configuration file can only be edited by users with administrator
permissions. Improvements made to log file format, some error messages and
error handling plus minor layout changes. Now inhibits Test button in shutdown
mode. Clicking test on main program now put slaves into test mode.
Version 3.0 - Released 14-May-2007
Configuration of both the slave and main program is now
via a configuration screen. The Common Start Up & Quick Start
Shortcut names have been corrected. Installer updated to add a
file no longer supplied on 64 bit OS. Removed the dependency on
psshutdown. Help updated and improved. Fixes a bug where a corrupted
log file can cause a run time error. Removed the release notes
link from start menu. Now always runs on top when the shutdown
period is initiated. Corrected the url on the Slave registration
form. Fixes a bug in the IP Address check routine. Icons updated.
Remote Reset of Slaves added.
Version 2.5 - Released 6-September-2006
The program now needs to be registered before it can be
used, the new About form shows the licence details and program
version. The program name and version is written to the client
and server log files on start up for log levels 2 and 3. The help
has been simplified and a number of errors in help have been corrected
following user feedback. The client and server programs no longer
defaults to 'run on top', this can still be enabled in the configuration
file. Fixed an incorrect error message when the log path length
is exceeded. Minor improvements to server and client main screens.
Version 2.0 - Released 6-March-2006
Licence updated. Installer has new graphics and adds a
link to the web site. Uninstall now removes log files, psshutdown
and old configuration files. Program has new graphics and icons,
Uninstaller now uses correct icon. HTML help added. Configuration
file names changed. About and help screens added. Now checks for
existing configuration file on installation and no longer runs
if the configuration file is missing. No longer possible to start
multiple instances of the client or server program. Logging with
log level 3 now works correctly. Now checks if psshutdown exists
on start up. Display adjusted to allow longer computer names. Installer
now checks if program is running before installation.
