JSutils Energy Saving Shutdown Utilities
These energy saving shutdown utilities are part of the JSutils group of software and were originally designed as part of a practical home energy saving project to save energy and money by reducing computer electricity use. They are free for personal non commercial use, support WIndows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, come complete with html help and are simple to install and use. AllOff V5.6
AllOff is an activity monitor and shutdown utility which monitors the mouse, keyboard, download rate and CPU load and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no activity for the specified time. It also supports fixed activation and shutdown initiation times plus a fixed delay before shutdown initiation. AllOff supports all the normal shut down modes. It can also be used to control a remote computer. Uses of AllOff include unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. AllOff Lite V5.2
AllOff Lite is an activity monitor and shutdown utility which monitors the mouse, keyboard and
CPU load and initiates computer power off if there has been no keyboard or mouse activity for 900 seconds and the average CPU load has been below 15% for over 60 seconds. A fixed shutdown time or fixed shutdown delay can also be set which will override CPU and Keyboard/Mouse activity detection or they can be used on their own. Designed to be simple to install and use AllOff Lite requires no configuration apart from selecting whether fixed time shutdown and/or activity monitoring are required during installation. LANOff V6.1 Released 26-March-2013
LANOff is a network monitor and shutdown utility which monitors up to four remote computers from a client computer and optionally shuts down the client and specified remote computers when the network fails or the specified computer shuts down. It also supports fixed activation and shutdown initiation times plus a fixed delay before shutdown initiation. Various parameters can be set via the configuration screen. LANOff was designed to be used in conjunction with AllOff or ProcOff to enable a backup server to be shut down automatically once several computers on a local network had completed their backups. It can also be used on it's own. LANOff supports all the normal shut down modes. The program operates by interrogating each remote computer via a small slave program once a second. Up to four remote computers can be monitored or controlled with shutdown being initiated when connection to all computers is lost. Uses of LANOff include monitoring up to four computers connected to a server shutting down the server when it is no longer needed or shutting down up to four computers connected to a server when the server shuts down. ProcOff V3.0 Released 29-April-2013
ProcOff monitors up to three processes and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no process activity for the set time. It also supports fixed activation and shutdown initiation times, a fixed delay before shutdown initiation plus activation on process start or end. There is a configurable shutdown delay to give the option to cancel shutdown plus the ability to stop users with insufficient privileges closing the program. ProcOff supports all the normal shutdown modes. ProcOff can be used to run programs on activation and shutdown initiation It can also be used to control a remote computer via a slave program. ProcOff can optionally check for updates on start up. Process names and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen. ProcOff can be started manually, on start up or automatically via Task Scheduler and can run in the system tray.
