EnCalcLU uses the following formulae to calculate the results:

Actual Results

Days	=	Date 2 - Date 1
Number Of Months Or 6 Month Periods (1)	=	Number of complete and partial 6 month periods between Date 1 and Date 2 Integer ( ( ( Number Days Between Date 1 And Date 2 ) - 10 ) / ( 365 / 2 ) ) + 1 OR Number Of complete and partial months between Date 1 And Date 2
Water Units Used (2)	=	Meter Reading 2 - Meter Reading 1
Sewage Units Used	=	(Meter Reading 2 - Meter Reading 1 ) * Sewage Volume Allowance
Water Units Cost	=	Water Units Used * Water Volume Charge
Sewage Units Cost	=	Sewage Units Used * Sewage Volume Charge
Water Fixed Charge	=	Period Water Fixed Charge * Number of Periods
Sewage Fixed Charge	=	Period Sewage Charge * Number of Periods
Total Fixed Charge	=	Water Fixed Charge + Sewage Fixed Charge
Sub Total	=	Water Units Cost + Sewage Units Cost + Total Fixed Charge
Total Discount 1 (4)	=	FIxed Amount: Discount 1 * Number of Periods Percentage: Sub Total * ( Discount 1 % / 100 )
VAT (3)	=	( Sub Total -Total Discount 1 ) * ( VAT% / 100 )
Total Discount 2	=	Period: Discount 2 * Number of Periods Fixed: Discount 2
Total Cost (3)	=	( Sub Total -Total Discount 1 ) * ( ( 100 + VAT% ) / 100 ) - Discount 2
Cost per Day	=	Total Cost / Days
Units per Day	=	Number Water Units Used / Number Days

2. Works in whole units, any decimals entered will be rounded.
3. If the currency selected is not UK Pounds (£) or Euros ( €) then VAT is changed to TAX.
4. Discount 1 can be either a fixed amount or a percentage of the cot before VAT.
5. If Discount 2 is set to fixed there will be no predicted Discount 2 in the results.

Predicted Results

Predicted Days	=	Date a + Number of 6 Months or Months To Predict Forward (This can be less than Actual Days)
Water Units Used	=	( Meter Reading 2 - Meter Reading 1 ) * ( Predicted Days / Actual Days )
Sewage Units Used	=	(Meter Reading 2 - Meter Reading 1 ) * Sewage Volume Allowance * (Predicted Days ) / Actual Days )
Water Units Cost	=	Water Units Used * Water Volume Charge * ( Predicted Days / Actual Days )
Sewage Units Cost	=	Sewage Units Used * Sewage Volume Charge * ( Predicted Days / Actual Days )
Water Fixed Charge	=	Period Water Fixed Charge * Number of Prediction Periods
Sewage Fixed Charge	=	Period Sewage Charge * Number of Prediction Periods
Total Fixed Charge	=	Water Fixed Charge + Sewage Fixed Charge
Sub Total	=	Predicted Water Units Cost + Predicted Sewage Units Cost + Predicted Total Fixed Charge - (Discount 1 * Number of Prediction Periods )
Total Discount 1 (4)	=	FIxed Amount: Discount 1 * Number of Prediction Periods Percentage: Sub Total * ( Discount 1 % / 100 )
VAT (3)	=	( Sub Total -Total Discount 1 ) * ( VAT% / 100 )
Total Discount 2 (5)	=	Period: Discount 2 * Number of Prediction Periods Fixed: Not applicable
