Have you ever wondered whether it is worth investing in dual flush toilets or wanted to work out just how much leaving the tap on while cleaning your teeth is costing you. Do you want to find out how much that dripping tap costs. Or may be you want to help the environment by conserving water. If the answer to any of these is yes then maybe EnCalcL can help you. EnCalcL calculates the cost of purchasing and running water using appliances, allowing two alternative items to be compared under the same conditions or the true cost of one item to be worked out simply. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. EnCalcL is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation. Variables such as water use, number of uses per day and investment cost can be independently varied for 2 items for specified payback times and water cost to work out the true total cost. EnCalcL supports Windows 2000, Windows XP/2003 and Windows Vista. The program requires a registration code to run - this can be obtained free for personal non commercial use from the Download page. Registration codes from previous versions are compatible with version 2.6. For commercial licencing please click here. Installation is simple just unzip the installer from the downloaded file, double click on the installer and follow the on screen instructions, shortcuts are installed for all users. As well as installing the program this will also install the help pages. EnCalcL can be safely installed over previous installations but it will need re-configuring if the configuration file is overwritten. Start the program and enter the registration code to start using EnCalcL. If the program will not work properly check out the FAQ and Release Notes for suggestions. The program needs administrator privileges to install it. When upgrading do not allow the installer to overwrite the configuration file when prompted to retain saved default values.
