The program generates a log file to enable fault finding and monitoring to be carried out. If the log file is deleted or becomes corrupted a new one will be created the next time the program is started. The log file shows the program name and version at start up. The log file is called CPUOffL.log and can be found in the program log directory (normally c:\Program Files\JSutils\CPUOff Lite\Log), it can be viewed and if required edited using any suitable text editor such as Notepad (do not use work processing programs such as Microsoft Word).

Log File Format
The log file generated by the client program has the following format:

<data/time>, <status>, <status details>, <counter>

Where:
<data/time>shows current date and time from the computer's internal clock.
<status> shows program status (Close - program ended normally, Enter - program enters new mode, Exit - program terminated by exit button, Reset - reset by reset button, Run - active and running, Simulate - simulating action (test mode), Start - program starts).
<status details> shows status details (Activate, Initialise, Power Off, Run,Test).
<count> is the value of the internal program counter.

A '* in front of <status> indicates the program is in test mode.
