DESCRIPTION
Monitors CPU load and initiates computer shutdown if the average CPU load has been below a specified percentage for the specified time. It can be started either manually, on start up or automatically via the Windows Task Scheduler. The program activates a preset period after starting and shuts down a preset period after shutdown is initiated unless shutdown is cancelled. By default the program runs in the System Tray.

The CPU load and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen, this screen gives details of the parameters and their limits. In a lot of cases the default values will not need changing. The default values trigger computer shutdown if the average CPU load is below 20% for more than 60 seconds. Shutdown, Power Off and Reboot have been configured to force all running applications to close. By installing a slave program it can also be used to shutdown a remote computer.

This program requires a registration code to run. This code, which is free for personal non commercial use, can be obtained from www.jsutils.com

Make sure an existing copy of CPUOff Lite, CPUOff or CPUOff Slave is not running.

Unzip the installer CPUOff.exe from the downloaded file CPUOff.zip

Run the installer CPUOff.exe and follow the on screen instructions (making sure the check box 'CPUOff' is checked).
