What Are The Advantages Of AllOff Lite Over The Features Built Into Windows?
You can define when it is activated and you get the opportunity to cancel power off rather than it just happening. The program detects lack of keyboard/mouse and/or cpu activity. A fixed shutdown time can also be set. The program will not be fooled by a stuck key. An open program will not stop computer shutdown. A history of use is available. It can apply to all users making configuration easier and more consistent.
Which Operating Systems Does AllOff Lite Support?
AllOff Lite is designed to work on WIndows 2000 Service Pack 4, Windows XP including Service Packs 1, 2 and 3, WIndows Vista including Service Packs 1 and 2 and Windows 7 including Service Pack 1. Windows NT, 95, 98 & ME are NOT
supported.
Does AllOff Lite Work On Both 32bit And 64 bit Operating Systems?
AllOff Lite is a 32 bit executable that is compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems.
Does AllOff Work On Multi Core/Multi Processor Machines?
AllOff is compatible with multi core and multiprocessor machines. The processor load for this type of computer is the total processor load across all cores/processors i.e. 100% equals all processors fully loaded.
Does AllOff Lite Record My Keystrokes?
No AllOff Lite only detects the fact a key has been operated not which key has been pressed.
Can AllOff Lite Be Installed Over An Existing Version?
Yes, there are no known problems installing over the top of an existing installation. To keep the previous settings do not allow the configuration file to be overwritten when prompted. The existing configuration file will be copied to AllOffL.old. The only exception is when downgrading to an earlier version of the program, in this case uninstall the old program first.
Are There Any Issues Using AllOff Lite On WIndows Vista And Windows 7 With User Account Control Turned On?
There are no known issues when UAC is enabled on Vista and Windows 7.
Why Does AllOff Lite Stop Without Shutting Down The Computer?
This could be caused by a firewall program blocking the operation of AllOff Lite in which case add AllOff Lite to the list of acceptable programs.
Is There Any Way To Change The Shutdown Or Monitoring Times Of AllOff Lite?
No but upgrading to AllOff will allow this.
Is There Any Way To Change The Shutdown Mode Of AllOff Lite?
No but upgrading to AllOff will allow this.
Can AllOff Lite Shutdown A Remote Computer?
No but upgrading to AllOff will allow this.
How Do I Check The Digital Signature Of A File
Right click on the file, select properties and the digital signature tab. Select the signer name and click on Details. You will then be able to access details of the certificate and timestamp. Only executable files are signed. If the digital signature tab does not exist the file is not signed.
How Much Memory Does The Program Use?
This is dependent on the operating system and program state but will be around 8MB.
How Much Disk Space Does AllOff Lite Need?
Around 2MB including space for a large log file - the program takes up 1.38MB.
