AllOff monitors the mouse, keyboard and CPU load and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no keyboard or mouse activity and the average CPU load has been below the threshold set for the specified time. AllOff supports all the normal shut down modes. It can also be used to control a remote computer. AllOff is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation. To find more energy and money saving ideas check out Practical Home Energy Saving.

Uses of ALLoff include unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually. AllOff is a great little utility for saving energy by making sure a computer shuts down when not needed.

For information on using the program and how it works click on Using. AllOff supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista. See Installation for information on installation. The CPU load and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen, see Configuration for details of the parameters and their limits. If the program will not work properly check out the Release Notes and FAQ for suggestions.

The program requires a registration code to run - this can be obtained free for personal non commercial use from the Download page.
